Let me introduce myself. 

To όνομά μου είναι Χριστίνα Χριστοφή. Η μητέρα μου κατάγεται από τα Πωγώνια στην Ήπειρο και ο πατέρας μου είναι Κύπριος με καταγωγή από την κατεχόμενη Μόρφου. Έχω έναν αδερφό που αγαπάει τη τζαζ και το σαξόφωνο, δύο φοβερά ανίψια, έναν μοναδικό σύντροφο και έναν ζημιάρη γάτο. Οι γονείς μου παντρεύτηκαν στην Κύπρο ένα βράδυ πριν την εισβολή και εγώ γεννήθηκα στη Θεσσαλονίκη.

Σήμερα ζω στο κέντρο της Αθήνας, στην Κυψέλη. Εδώ είχα και ένα μικρό θέατρο, το ΜΠΙΠ https://beepkipseli.webnode.gr/ για 5 χρόνια (2015-2020) και εξερευνώ την καλλιτεχνική διαδρομή μου στο θέατρο σαν συγγραφέας, σκηνοθέτης και ηθοποιός. Η προϋπηρεσία μου είναι στον κινηματογράφο (σκηνοθέτης, βοηθός σκηνοθέτη, συγγραφέας) και από το 1997 εργάζομαι σαν Δημιουργικός Κειμενογράφος για τη Διαφήμιση και Ghost Writer για τους σκηνοθέτες σχετικά με τα τηλεοπτικά διαφημιστικά. Έχω Bachelor Degree στο Business Administration (Marketing Management) από το American College of Greece (DEREE), σπουδές στο Εθνικό Ωδείο (πιάνο και θεωρία), σπουδές στο κινηματογράφο (σκηνοθεσία και συγγραφή) στο UCLA και NYFA, και έχω παρακολουθήσει σεμινάρια θεατρικής συγγραφής με τον Ανδρέα Φλουράκη και μαθήματα υποκριτικής με την Ελένη Σκότη.

Σκηνοθέτησα την πρώτη παράσταση το 2009 και μέχρι σήμερα έχω σκηνοθετήσει 18 παραστάσεις.

Σαν ηθοποιός συμμετείχα σε 9 παραστάσεις και μέχρι σήμερα έχω γράψει 5 full length θεατρικά έργα, από τα οποία ένα βραβεύτηκε από το Θέατρο Τέχνης ("Κρουαζιέρα") και ένα άλλο ("Η αντοχή των υλικών") από την Ένωση Σεναριογράφων Ελλάδας .

My name is Christina Christofi. My mother is Greek from Epirus, my father is Greek/Cypriot and his home village is still under the Turkish occupation. Ι have a brother that loves jazz and his sax, two amazing nieces, a wonderful spouse and a naughty cat. My parents got married in Cyprus the night before the Turkish invasion and I was born in Thessaloniki.

Now I live in downtown Athens, in Kipseli. In Kipseli I owned a small theater «ΜΠΙΠ» (Βeep theater) https://beepkipseli.webnode.gr/ for 5 years (2015-2020) and I am exploring my artistic path making theater as a writer, as a director and as a performer. My background is in film making (as a director, assistant director and writer) and since 1997 I earn my living as a Creative Copywriter working for advertising agencies and as a ghost writer for TV Commercial directors. I have a Bachelor Degree from the American College of Greece (DEREE) in Business Administration (Marketing Management), Advanced Music Studies at the National Greek Conservatoire (piano and theory), Film Studies (Directing and Scriptwriting) at the UCLA and the NYFA, playwriting studies with Andreas Flourakis and Acting Studies (5 years) working on the method with Eleni Skoti.

The first play I directed was in 2009 and since then, I have staged 18 plays.

As an actress I participated in 9 shows and until now I have written 5 full length plays, one of them was awarded from Greek Art Theatre Karolos Koun ("The Cruise") and another ("The Strength of the materials" ) by the Scriptwriters' Guild of Greece

Η Χριστίνα Χριστοφή γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Σπούδασε Μουσική (Πτυχίο στο πιάνο, Εθνικό Ωδείο Αθηνών), Marketing Management (BA American College of Greece) και Σενάριο (UCLA extension). 

 >Το 2005 πήγε στη Νέα Υόρκη για να συνεχίσει τις σπουδές της στο Σενάριο και τη Σκηνοθεσία Κινηματογράφου (New York Film Academy). Επιστρέφοντας στην Ελλάδα, σπούδασε Υποκριτική με την Ελένη Σκότη (2006-2011) και Θεατρική Συγγραφή με τον Ανδρέα Φλουράκη (2007-2010). 

>Από το 1997 μέχρι το 2005 εργάστηκε σαν Δημιουργικός Κειμενογράφος σε μεγάλες διαφημιστικές εταιρείες (TBWA Athens, McCann Erickson, MAGNET Advertising κα) και τώρα συνεχίζει να εργάζεται σαν freelancer copywriter. Έχει κερδίσει αρκετά βραβεία διαφήμισης στην Ελλάδα (ERMIS Awards) αλλά και στο εξωτερικό (NY Ad Festival). 

>Από το 2006 μέχρι το 2009 εργάστηκε σαν βοηθός σκηνοθέτη στη διαφήμιση αλλά και στην τηλεόραση ("Τρίτος νόμος" και "10η Εντολή" του Πάνου Κοκκινόπουλου, Frenzy Films και "Ιστορίες του Αστυνόμου Μπέκα" , PLD productions) 

 >Σήμερα, εκτός από freelancer copywriter εργάζεται και σαν ghostwriter για director's treatments στη διαφήμιση συνεργαζόμενη με σκηνοθέτες στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό. 

>Από το 2004 μέχρι το 2019 έχει γράψει και σκηνοθετήσει 4 ταινίες μικρού μήκους και από το 2008 ασχολείται και με το θέατρο σαν σκηνοθέτης/συγγραφέας/ηθοποιός.

>Το 2015 ίδρυσε το θέατρο ΜΠΙΠ στην Κυψέλη το οποίο έκλεισε τον Ιούνιο του 2020 λόγω της πανδημίας.

ΕΠΙΣΗΣ...

Το 2015 και 2016 συμμετείχε σε δύο συλλογικές performances ("Dreamland" και "Σπίτι") που οργάνωσε στο Θέατρο ΜΠΙΠ με θέμα την κρίση της μετανάστευσης. 

Το 2013, στο πλαίσιο του Inventing Futures στο ArtEZ Institute of Arts στο Anhem παρουσίασε μαζί με την Kate Adams και τη Medie Megas το workshop: "Intentionality/Potentiality: Uncovering latencies and provoking transformation through movement and text". ..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Christina Christofi was born in Thessaloniki. She studied Music (Ptychion from the National Conservatoire-piano and theory), Marketing Management (BA American College of Greece) and Scriptwriting (UCLA). 

In 2005 she went to New York to continue her studies in scriptwriting and directing (New York Film Academy). Returning to Greece, she studied Acting with Eleni Skoti from 2006 until 2011 and PLaywriting with Andreas Flourakis. 

From 1997 until 2005, she worked as a Creative Copywriter in big advertising agencies and now she is still working as a freelancer copywriter. 

From 2006 until 2009 she has worked as an assistant Director for film, TV series and advertising commercials, but recently she is mostly working as a freelance ghost writer with Film Directors (in Greece and abroad) for TV Commercials and Film. She has earned several Ad awards in Greece (ERMIS Awards) as well as abroad (NY Ad Festival). 

From 2004 until 2019 she wrote and directed 4 short films and since 2008 she creates theater as a director, or/and writer, or/and performer. 

From 2015 until 2020 she created and run the theater ΜΠΙΠ (Beep) in Kipseli, downtown Athens.

In 2015 and in 2016 she participated in two collective performances ("Dreamland" and "Home") that she organized at BEEP Theater (ΜΠΙΠ). Both performances had as a subject the immigration crisis.
